Due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, we have suspended our usual application processes for all grant programmes. Details of funding priorities for a Covid-19 Recovery Fund will be published on our website in July.

Our Covid-19 Emergency Response

30 April 2020

The Rothschild Foundation has contributed to a number of local initiatives responding to the needs of vulnerable Buckinghamshire residents during the Covid-19 crisis.

We have made a contribution to the National Emergencies Trust (NET) appeal, distributed in the county by Heart of Bucks. The Foundation will also bolster Buckinghamshire Council’s crisis fund available to local groups and organisations via each local Councillor. The Foundation has also awarded grants to charities providing emergency food, supporting the homeless, and providing help and advice in the most deprived wards in the county.

Our own community initiative continues to offer hot meals cooked by Waddesdon chefs, volunteering their time whilst being furloughed, to local school children in receipt of Free School Meals and elderly and vulnerable adults who are self-isolating.

The Foundation will continue working with partners and charities to support our local community to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak. Further information about funding priorities will be published on our website in July.
