Buckinghamshire Grants

Covid-19 Support Fund

Covid-19 Support Fund

The Covid-19 Support Fund aims to support the local third sector organisations who have been adversely affected by Covid-19 and those who have experienced significant increased demand for their service to navigate through the next six months, in order to support communities in Buckinghamshire.  Funding will be prioritised for registered Charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee. If you wish to make an application from another type of constituted organisation in the not for profit sector, please contact [email protected] to discuss eligibility.

To be eligible to apply, organisations must provide a service to residents in Buckinghamshire. We will prioritise support for communities that currently experience high levels of disadvantage and who are likely to be disproportionately affected by the impact of Covid-19.

Priority will be given to small to medium-sized organisations with an annual income of up to £1 million. Organisations with income over £1m are still welcome to apply, but must evidence how their income has been negatively impacted by the pandemic.  We are interested in supporting organisations who can already demonstrate impact in the county.

The Fund will support services that are directly responding to the needs of communities that have arisen from the impact of Covid-19 as well as those that are not delivered directly on the frontline but are an important part of the rebuilding process.

The guidance document below provides further detail on the areas of need and sectors that the Fund is aimed at, examples of the types of activity that we anticipate supporting and detail on the information required for the online application. Please ensure that you have read this guidance before applying.

Key details of the Fund

  • Fund opens:  6 July 2020
  • Fund closes: 30 June 2021

Organisations can apply for grants of between £5,000 – £50,000. However, we anticipate that competition for funds will be high and ask you to only apply for what you need.

In the exceptional circumstances presented by the coronavirus outbreak, organisations holding an existing funding agreement for a Local and Community or Impact Grant may also apply to the Covid-19 Support Fund as long as the funding applied for does not duplicate funding already received from the Rothschild Foundation.

Applications must be made online. A link to the form is available below. If you have difficulties making an online application please get in touch with us using the email below.

We anticipate taking up to eight weeks between submission of application and notification of decision. However, please note that the Fund presents a new way of operating for us and we are unable to anticipate the level of demand. This may mean that we need to adapt the Fund as it progresses which may require adjustments to our current decision timeframes.
