Covid-19 Support Fund Launch

30 June 2020

Covid-19 Support Fund

The Foundation has launched the Covid-19 Support Fund which will open to online applications on 6th July. The Fund aims to support organisations who have been adversely affected by Covid-19 and those who have experienced significant increased demand for their service to navigate through the next six months. This includes directly addressing  the needs of communities that have intensified during the crisis, such as mental health and social isolation, as well as sectors that the Foundation holds dear and that are  an important part of the rebuilding process such as culture and the environment.

The Fund will focus on responding to the needs of third sector organisations in order to ensure that they are able to continue to support our local communities now and in the future. We anticipate supporting a range of activity such as cash-flow support, service design and workplace adaptations as well as new and adapted services in response to emerging need. See our Covid-19 Support Fund for further detail here.

The Covid-19 Support Fund represents the next phase of the Foundation’s support during the crisis. It builds on the grants we made within the initial months of the crisis which were aimed at addressing acute needs of communities such as food shortage, emergency accommodation for those who are homeless and targeted support for deprived wards within the county.  We also made a contribution to the National Emergencies Trust (NET) appeal, distributed in the county by Heart of Bucks. The Foundation also bolstered Buckinghamshire Council’s crisis fund.
