Eat, Move, Love - Join the movement

26 October 2021

On the 30th September we were privileged to welcome Lotte and Robert Stringer from our Charity of the Year Hector’s House to Waddesdon to host their Eat, Move, Love workshops.  Approximately 50 staff and volunteers took up the opportunity to attend.

Hector’s House promotes mental health awareness to prevent suicide through education and support.  This is a small family run charity which was set up following the death of Hector Stringer, who tragically took his own life at the age of 18.

During the challenging year of the pandemic with one in four people in the UK now suffering mental health issues, the Rothschild Foundation was keen to host the workshops for staff and volunteers to provide mental health guidance and promote a pathway for support.

Lotte and Robert explained that by making small simple steps to eat, exercise more and open up to others this will help to improve physical and mental health. They shared useful hints and tips on how to recognise anxiety and depression, promote stress management and help manage uncertainty going forward.
