Green Future's Project

03 February 2022

On the 26th January 2022, Green Futures officially launched in Buckinghamshire by Feedback. Over 30 organisations and individuals attended the event in Princes Risborough, bringing together a wealth of experience of work taking place with young people and the progressive food and farming sector. The event allowed organisations, schools, and businesses the opportunity to share their passion and future aspirations; whilst also hearing about the new possibilities Green Futures offers.

Green Futures is a Rothschild Foundation funded project devised to support the local green economy, address youth unemployment, and reconnect young people to land and nature. Together, we will foster new relationships between schools, youth organisations food businesses and social enterprises to bolster the county’s food and farming economy. Feedback wants to enhance the networks engaging young people by supporting partnership projects, work experience opportunities, careers talks and sector study visits; as well as a 15- week paid internship scheme for 18-24 year olds. All will focus on young people less likely to naturally look at green career pathways.

Applications for organisations to host interns or deliver partnership projects across the county are now open and can be found here: https://feedbackglobal.org/actionpage/greenfutures/
