Centre for Education and Youth is looking for policymakers and systems leaders to work with local young people

12 May 2023

Our grantee the Centre for Education and Youth is looking for policymakers and systems leaders to work with local young people, designing solutions to problems facing young people in Buckinghamshire.

“We are a team of researchers from The Centre for Education and Youth who have spent the last few months working alongside Young Expert Citizens from Buckinghamshire to identify and research issues affecting local young people. We are now looking for policymakers and systems leaders to work alongside the Young Experts to help turn their research into action.

The Young Experts are a diverse and talented group of 16-25 year olds, living across Buckinghamshire, whose life journeys have included experiencing the ‘sharp end’ of policies and systems in their area. They have been trained to design and carry out research projects into a specific issue that they have lived experience of. The next stage of our project will involve them co-designing policy solutions with adult practitioners, to improve systems and services for other young people in Buckinghamshire.”

Could you help them on their journey, and gain insight into the experiences and perspectives of local young people? They are particularly keen to hear from you if you are based within CAMHS, adult mental health services, Family Information Services or housing services, as these link to topics being explored by some of the Young Experts.
