The Rothschild Foundation is working closely with Buckinghamshire Council, The Clare Foundation, The National Lottery Community Fund, Leap, and Heart of Bucks to coordinate a response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Together we have distributed more than 200 grants to support food bank provision, care for the elderly and isolated, increased mental health provision, and support for victims of domestic violence.

Funded initiatives include ‘Bernie the Bus’ which collects food and plant donations for Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse to deliver to elderly and socially isolated residents. Their work was recently recognised in parliament by PM Boris Johnson.

The Rothschild Foundation will continue to meet regularly with peer funders to champion the Voluntary & Community Sector as it supports communities recover from the impact of the pandemic.
