The Rothschild Foundation work in partnership with Waddesdon Estates LLP to manage the wider estate which comprises around 9,000 acres of parkland, agricultural land, Waddesdon Manor and its grounds.

The Rothschild Foundation manage 72 residential properties in and around the villages of Waddesdon and Upper Winchendon, ranging from 19th century workers cottages to large, listed properties such as Grand Lodge, formerly the main entrance to the Manor. All profits from rental income go towards helping care for Waddesdon Manor and through the Rothschild Foundation, help fund work in the arts, local community and the environment.

Walking on the Estate

There are a number of public footpaths across the estate which attract walkers, runners and nature enthusiasts to this beautiful landscape.

Please note that Waddesdon Manor is a private estate and working farm. Please enjoy your visit responsibly by using the marked public rights of way, following the Countryside Code, keeping dogs on short leads, and using the dog waste bins provided. Some paths cross fields with livestock, so please take care.

It is managed by a team, combining professional rural estate practices with a strong environmental approach, aiming to minimize our carbon footprint. Waddesdon Estate LLP (and related entities) also have a number of residential and commercial properties available for rent in the villages of Waddesdon, Westcott and Upper Winchendon.
